EDMOND (EDDY) BLANCHARD

BLANCHARD, EDMOND (EDDY) - Died unexpectedly Friday, September 17, 2004 at Hammond River, NB, at the age of 74, Eddy Blanchard, husband of Dorilla (Hache) Blanchard of Nauwigewauk. Born in Tracadie-Sheila, NB, December 31, 1929, he is the son of the late Wilfred and Alice Blanchard. A resident of the Quispamsis area for over 30 years, Eddy worked as the owner and proprietor of his own contracting business, originally as the co-owner with Blanchard Construction, then moved in to his own as the sole owner of Wildwood Construction. Those who knew Eddy knew of his great show of love for his family and friends through his woodworking craft. Eddy was a member St. Marks Church, as well as the Hampton Hoedowners for many years. Eddy had a great love for fishing, hunting and the outdoors. Surviving in addition to his wife Dorilla are his children Liette Watson (Greg) of Quispamsis, John (Elizabeth) of Bermuda, Diane Mason (David) of Hampton; his two beloved grandchildren Vanessa and Trevor Watson; two brothers Lucien and Omer; six sisters, Angie, Evelyn, Stella, Yolande, Rita and Demerise; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Eddy was predeceased by his son Rene, brother Amos. Resting at Castle "Kings Chapel" Funeral Home, 154 Hampton Road, Rothesay, NB (506-849-1702) from where the visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 21st, 2004 at 11:00 am at St. Marks Church, Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB. A reception will immediately follow downstairs in the church hall followed by the interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. A prayer vigil service will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening at 8:00 pm.
