SPEAR, JOSEPHINE REBECCA - Josephine (Jo) Rebecca (Harlow) Spear passed away at York Manor in Fredericton on Saturday, September 18, 2004. She is survived by two sons, David James of Fredericton and Bill (Lynn) of Saint John; six daughters, Joanne Maxwell (Glenn) of Saint John, Barb Maxwell (Norman O'Brien) of Saint John, Joyce Spear of Fredericton, Judy Banks (Bill) of Fredericton, Beth Spear (Jim Goldrich) of Saint John, and Deenie Wilson (Gil) of L'Etete; eleven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Jo was predeceased by her husband, Bernard (Bun) Taylor Spear; son Robert Murray Spear; grandson Andrew Maxwell; and son-in-law Gene Maxwell. Bun and Jo spent their married life and raised their nine children in Seeleys Cove, NB. After Bun's death in 1984, Jo moved to Fredericton. She suffered a stroke in 1995 and has been a resident of York Manor since that time. She will be sadly missed by her children and her friends at York Manor who gave her such affectionate care over the past ten years. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB (755-3533), with visiting on Monday, September 20, 2004, from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Christ Church Anglican Pennfield, on Tuesday, September, 21, 2004 at 2 pm., followed by interment in the church cemetery. (www.stgeorgefh.ca)
