LINDA D. LODGE

LODGE, LINDA D. - Linda D. Lodge, a longtime resident of Randolph, died at the Saint John Regional Hospital on September 20th, 2004. Her death ended a long and well fought battle with illness that showed an incredible toughness and strength of will. It was clear very early that Linda was born to be a nurse. She began her 40 year nursing career in the RCAF with postings in Labrador and Germany. In 1967 Linda returned to Saint John to become a wonderful mother to Michele. Family, friendship and caring for others were the driving forces in Linda's life. She spent a great deal of her time camping, volunteering in her community, caring for her parents, and nursing at the Old General and at the Regional Hospital as an operating nurse specializing in plastic surgery. Linda had a great appetite for reading especially science fiction books, children, animals, flowers and bird watching. The great loves of her life were her five year old twin granddaughters Charly and Laura. Survived by her daughter Michele Lodge and her husband Michael Bonga of Saint John, brother Thomas G. Lodge and his wife Phyllis of Amherstview Ont., sister Joan Ross and her husband Scott of Waterford, N.B., two grandchildren Laura and Charly Bonga, three nephews Gordon and Richard Lodge and Andrew Ross, also cousins Ann Jones and family and cousins Alan, Joel and Caitlin Smith.
