PATTERSON, ALBERT EARL - The death of Albert E. Patterson of Hampton, husband of Marion (Armstrong) Patterson occurred October 5, 2004 after a lengthy illness at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre, Hampton. He was born at New Jerusalem, son of the late Ernest and Lillian (Vallis) Patterson and moved to Hampton in 1953. Albert was a licensed mechanic and service manager at Canadian Tire for thirty years retiring in 1980. Following retirement he repaired small engines and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of Hampton United Church and the Progressive Conservative Association. Surviving besides his wife Marion are two daughters Cheryl Harris (Brian) of Kingston, NB, Lori Smythe (Sean) of Kingston, ON; two sons, Carl Patterson (Anne) of Fort McMurray, AB, Russell Patterson of Hampton; father-in-law Austin Armstrong of Roachville; two sisters Hilda Hamilton of Jemseg, Gladys Merritt of Surrey, BC; seven grandchildren, one great grandson, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter-in-law Ellen-Ann and brothers Leonard and Arthur Patterson. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton. The funeral will be held Friday, 12:30pm at Hampton United Church with Rev. Keith Lyons officiating. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
