SHERWOOD, STANLEY FORD - The death of Stanley Ford Sherwood of Bayview, St. Martins, husband of the late Helen (Gillcrist) Sherwood occurred October 11, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born at Upham, son of the late Ford and Ethel (Verner) Sherwood. Stanley was a Longshoreman at Saint John Winterport in his earlier years. He then was a truck driver for several years and retired from the Department of Transportation in 1983. He enjoyed gardening. He is survived by two daughters Marion Jamieson of Saint John, Valerie Stuart (Moyle) of St. Martins; three sons Lloyd (Donna) of St. Martins, Edward (Daisy) of St. Martins, Larry (Norma) of Bains Corner; 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Cremation will be followed by visitation Wednesday, 7-9pm, at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, St. Martins, from where the funeral will be held Thursday, 2:00pm, with Rev. Dana Dean officiating. Interment in St. Martins Community Cemetery. Memorials to the Diabetes Association or Kidney Foundation would be appreciated. The arrangements have been entrusted to Reid's Funeral Home, Hampton.
