LAWSON, M.E. (BETTY) - At Rocmaura Nursing Home on October 23, 2004, Mona Elizabeth (Betty) Lawson, formerly of Grand Bay, wife of the late Douglas F. Lawson. She was born in Plaster Rock NB, a daughter of the late Theodore and Nellie Perry. Betty was a graduate of the Saint John Nursing School. She spent her nursing career, working at the General Hospital, the DVA, The Provincial Hospital and the Regional Hospital, retiring in 1987. She is survived by two sons: Gary of Pueblo, Colorado and Garth of Grand Bay / Westfield; one daughter, Sue Lawson of Victoria BC; one brother Wayne Perry and his wife Patty of the Miramichi NB; one sister Joan Horncastle of Nova Scotia; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Richard, a granddaughter Tara, a brother Larry and companion Donald B. Smith. At Betty's request there will be no visitation or service. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
