JOHN WESLEY - 1924 - 2004 BELL
BELL, JOHN WESLEY - 1924 - 2004 - After a sudden and very unexpected passing the family sadly announces his death Friday, October 15th at Burnably General Hospital. He was the loving and beloved husband of Ethel (nee Aird) and the adored and much loved father of Linda (Peter) and Ted (Joanne) and the humourous grandfather of Angie, Kristina, and Ken. He was the cherished youngest brother of Rhea, Hugh (Lida), Edna (Len), Audrey (Syd) and stepbrother of Joan (Don). All of whom will truly miss him. Wes was born on August 25th in Saint John, New Brunswick to Roy Wesley Bell and Ethel Irene (nee Smith). He graduated from St. Martins Super High School in 1943 and also attended the University of New Brunswick. He married Ethel in 1954. Wes retired in 1983 after several years in sales and field service for Canada Value and Johns-Manville. Wes proudly served for the RCAF/RAF as a mid-upper gunner on a Halifax Bomber during WWII. He was a lifetime member of the Strathcona Lodge (Edmonton, AB). Wes will be fondly remembered by his friends and extended family in Canada, USA, and Scotland. A private memorial service was held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam.
