Evelyn (Granny) Mary Miller AMHERST - Evelyn (Granny) Mary Miller age 83, of Amherst passed away Monday, April 9, 2007 at home. Born in River Hebert, she was a daughter of the late Philios and Olive (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. She loved music and playing her accordian. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be sadly missed by her many friends. Evelyn is survived by two daughters Diane (Robert) Jones of Amherst and Myrna (Martin) Smith of Fenwick, four sons Charles (Joy) and Bill (Vikki) of River Hebert, Roger of Amherst and Ronald of Fenwick, one sister Matilda Hashey of River Hebert, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Alexander, one daugher Shirley Anne, two sons David and Harold, four sisters Mary Jane LeBlanc, Delma Vienneau, Permilla Breau and Alvena Downey and two brothers Walter and Adolph. Her family will receive visitors at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902-667-9906) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 11 a.m. from St. Paul The Apostle Roman Catholic Church, River Hebert with Father David MacDonald officiating.
