BROWN, ALICE JEAN - 85 of Seal Cove, Grand Manan passed away Wednesday, November 10th, at the Grand Manan Hospital. Mrs.Brown was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Hunter of Saint John. Mrs.Brown was a member of the Seal Cove Baptist Church, the Ladies Missionary Society, the Fellowship Group, the Adult Bible Study Group, and the Sunday School. She was predeceased by her husband Borden Brown (1972), and two sisters Hazel Ricker, and Florence Meisner, five brothers Everett, John, Walter, George and Frederick Hunter. She is survived by one daughter Alice Dean (Bud) of North Head, three sons Lewis of Fall River, N.S., Kenneth (Elaine), and Paul (Shirley) of North Head, N.B., nine grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. The family will receive friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home on Thursday, November 11th, 2-4 PM, 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be from the Seal Cove Baptist Church on Friday, November 12th, at 1:30 PM with Pastor Robert Trites officiating. Interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery, Seal Cove.
