McGUIRE, A. CLAIR - Allen Clair McGuire of Woodstock, husband of B. Jean (Bishop) McGuire, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Wakefield on April 21, 1929, he was the son of the late Samuel Lee and Rose Mae (Taylor) McGuire. Clair was formerly employed as an auto salesman with Fox Chev Olds for several years. In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by three sons, Rickey McGuire (Darlene) of Woodstock, Gregory McGuire (Carlene) of Deerville, and Mark McGuire (Karen) of Jacksonville; a sister, Nina Clark of Wakefield; a brother, George McGuire (Sylvia) of Woodstock; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visiting was held at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service was held on Monday at 2 pm from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Fred Snyder officiated, with interment in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery. The pallbearers were Greg Fox, Gordon Graham, Albert McKinley, Ivan McLean, Blair Avery, and Ray MacDonald.
