FLOOKS, LINDA JEAN - The death of Ms. Linda Jean Flooks, 53, of Saint John, occurred on Wednesday November 24, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1951 in Saint John she was the daughter of Ronald and the late Elizabeth (Whiteway) Flooks. Linda always had a big heart for the children of Saint John. She donated crafts to the radio stations at Christmas time and donated many articles to Hestia House. She attended Seventh Day Adventist Church and School as a child, and loved it. Linda was brought up in the foster home of Kenneth and Doreen Hayward of Upper Golden Grove. She is survived by brother Billy Flooks (Marilyn Walton) of Edmonton, AB; sisters Frances (Bunny) Flooks (Wayne Herbert) of Saint John and Barbara Vienneau-Boucher (Real) of Edmonton, AB; adopted sister, Mary Chaisson, two aunts; three uncles; several cousins, nieces, Sonja, Tracy, and Lisa nephews, Blake, Sean and George. Besides her mother, her brother Ronnie Flooks, special brother Ray and her best friend Dubbie predeceased her. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) with visitations on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 11am. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery.
