Hattie May Tomlinson AMHERST, NS - Hattie May Tomlinson (nee Smith), 86, of Linden, passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Sunday, July 29, 2007. Born in Shinimicas, NS, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Mabelina (Mitchell) Smith. Hattie was a loving wife for 61 years to the late Harry Tomlinson (2000); dear mother of Vaughn (Maxine), Mount Forest, ON, Gerald (Cheryl), Oxford, Melvin (Anne) Innerkip, Diane (Kirby) Cordingley, Vicki (Andy Babineau) Wardell, all of Woodstock, ON. Loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, a dear sister to Phyllis Furlong of PEI and Chandler Smith (Paulette) of Linden. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother: Albert, and a sister, Florence Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS, (902-667-8777) where visiting hours will take place on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the Renwick United Church, Linden, NS on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 1 pm, Rev. Steven Longmoore officiating.
