DEVLIN, MURIEL F. - The death of Muriel F. Devlin, widow of Arthur Devlin, occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Friday, December 24, 2004. Mrs. Devlin was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Francis and Josephine (Riley) Murphy. She was a founding member of Holy Trinity Catholic Women's League and belonged for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Liberal Party of Canada; St. Joseph's Hospital Auxillary; and Rocmaura Auxillary. She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Noreen Gaines; a grandson, Terrence Gaines; three brothers, James, Christopher, and Frank Murphy; and a sister, Evelyn Murphy. She is survived by two sons, Arthur F. (Judy) of Burlington, Ont., and Patrick W. (Corina) of Saint John; one daughter, Nancy Forten (William) of Mississauga; one brother, Edward "Bud" (Marjorie) Murphy of Saint John; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Monday from 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church on Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock. Following cremation, interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. www.fitzpatrickfh.com
