FERGUSON, BERTHA "BETTY" OLIVIA - Stellarton/Saint John, NB. Bertha "Betty" Olivia Ferguson, 112 Hemlock St. Stellarton, NS died peacefully at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, January 1, 2005. Born July 12, 1918 in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late George and Louisa (Hatfield) Meuse. Betty and her son moved to Saint John, NB in the 50's, where she was employed at Centracare for twenty-five years, retiring in 1983. Betty moved to Stellarton, NS in 2000 and resided with longtime friend Isabel Martin. She is survived by grandchildren Roxanne and Lorne Jr. Saint John, NB; great grandchildren Brandon, Jordan, Jenna and Corey Ferguson, Saint John, NB; daughter-in-law Margaret Ferguson, Saint John, NB; sister Laura Devine, Dartmouth, NS. She was predeceased by her only child Lorne Graham in January 2004. Her remains will be transferred from the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, NS to Castle (Fallsview) Funeral Home, Saint John, NB for visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday from Castle (Fallsview) Funeral Home, Saint John, NB with Father Gerry White officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Sand Cove Rd. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
