Cole Harbour - Albert Anthony "Tony" Pavlovic- 47, Cole Harbour, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 19, 2007. It is with great sadness and shock at his passing, as family and friends love and will miss him forever. Born June 8, 1959 in Amherst, he was the only son of Mrs. Joan Christie, Amherst and the late Albert Pavlovic and step-son of Dr. Hugh Christie, Amherst. Tony was the loving husband and father to Debra, his wife and children, Kyle (13) and Erin (9) who he loved more than anything. Tony was an air-frame mechanic at IMP in Halifax for the past 22 years and will be missed by his co-workers. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper. He loved the outdoors and spending his spare time at the family cottage in Fraserville. Tony had a wonderful sense of humour and always enjoyed a good laugh. Tony loved his two dachshunds, Oscar and Kandi, and had a strong interest in the Canadian Dachshund Rescue. Along with his mother and step-father, Tony is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 12 years, Debra Pettipas; children, Kyle, Erin, both at home; parents-in-law, Elliott and Carolyn Pettipas, Dartmouth; sisters, Susan Pavlovic, Vicky (Mark) Melanson; brother-in-law, Glenn Pettipas, Dartmouth; niece, Crystal; nephew, Greg; great niece, Kenedi-Anne; great nephew, Brady Albert, all of Amherst; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Robert and Phyllis Spicer, Amherst; paternal grandparents, Mateo and Mary Pavlovic, Yugoslavia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, where Tony's family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Wednesday. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday in Forest Hills United Church, Reverend Byron Corkum officiating. Reception to follow in the Ellenberger Fellowship Hall at Forest Hills United Church. Interment will be held at a later date in Amherst Cemetery. Flowers welcome or a donation in Tony's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
