LAFORGE, ALMA - At the Grand Falls Manor, January 26, 2005, Mrs. Alma Laforge of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 91 years. She was the wife of the late J. Arthur Laforge. Born at Saint-Andre in 1913, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Annie (Poitras) Pelletier. She is survived by ten daughters, Sylvette (Bertrand Rioux) of Port St. Lucy, Florida, Jeannette (Marcel Hache) of Bathurst, Claudette (Yvon Vanasse) of Gatineau, Quebec, Cecile Michaud (late George) of Grand Falls, Lucille (Lloyd Lavoy) of Montreal, Jacinthe (Bob Boyd) of Burlington, Vermont, Therese (Gilles Guerrette) of Campbellton, Linda Daigle (Doug Wortman) of Moncton, Rachelle (Maurice Senechal) of Grand Falls and Annette Laforge of Edmundston, six sons, Cyr (Simone) and Pierre (Yolande) of Grand Falls, Rene (Claire) of Montreal, Georges (Micheline), Bert (Monique) and Roger (Parise) of Grand Falls, son-in-law, Thomas Kavanaugh of Grand Falls, three sisters, Gertrude Fraser of Fredericton, Sylvia Rioux and Therese Senechal (Leo) of Grand Falls, one brother, Felix Pelletier (Rolande) of Saint-Andre, as well as 48 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Bernadette Kavanaugh and a son, Arthur Laforge Jr. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Friday from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 29th at 11 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls, with interment in the Assumption cemetery. For those who wish, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
