Audrey M. Canning CANNING - Audrey M. aged 75 years of Maple Street, Springhill, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2008 in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Nappan, N. S. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the Late Emmett and Susan (DeBaie) McManaman. She was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church, CWL, and sang in the Church choir and was a member of All Saints Hospital Auxiliary, Springhill. She volunteered at many benefits, as well as with the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Children's Wish Founation and at many nursing homes in Ontario and Nova Scotia. She enjoyed gospel and blue grass music, singing, the guitar, her family and friends.She is survived by her husband, Norman G. Canning; sons, Mitchell (Bobbie Ann) White of Scarborough, Ontario and Dennis Miller of Northridge, California; daughter, Carolyn White of Springhill; brother, John (Jackie) McManaman of Bailieboro, Ontario; sister, Joan (Donald) Tower of Northridge, California; grandchildren, Adam, Joe and Jessie, great grandchildren, Rianna and Declyn; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Jack J. White; son, Dennis White; brothers, James McManaman, Mayhew Lloy and Billy DeBaie; sisters, Grace, Carol, Donna, Faye and Mary. Cremation has taken place under the direction of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 15, 2008 from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Springhill, with Father David MacDonald officiating. Burial in North Street Roman Catholic Cemetery, North Street, Springhill.
