McCONNACHIE, ALEXANDER (SANDY) - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, on March 11, 2005, surrounded by the love of his family, Sandy McConnachie, husband of Dot (Dorothy Bettle) of MacDonald's Corner, NB, went Home, to be at peace, with his Lord and Saviour. Sandy is survived by his wife; three daughters: Margaret and Bev Chown, Sussex Corner, Sandra and Jim McFarland, MacDonald's Corner, and Nancy at home; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, George and Pauline; and sister-in-law, Elva McConnachie, of Cambridge-Narrows; brother-in-law, John Jordan, North Carolina; several nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughters Sheila and Heather, sister Mary, and brother Bill. Sandy is resting at the 1st Cambridge Baptist Church, MacDonald's Corner, with visiting, Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. A service celebrating Sandy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2005, conducted by Rev. Philip Penny, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. The family would appreciate remembrances be made to the MICU of the Saint John Regional Hospital, 1st. Cambridge Baptist Church, or the memorial of the donor's choice. In lieu of personal responses, the family will make a donation to the MICU of the Saint John Regional Hospital, in appreciation of the wonderful care given by the doctors and nurses while he was a patient there.
