BUCHANAN, BESSIE J. - The death of Bessie Jane Buchanan of 300 Main Street, Saint John, wife of the late James Buchanan, occurred on Friday, March 11, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in O'Leary, PEI, on August 2, 1910, she was the daughter of the late David and Estella (Boulter) Palmer. Bessie was a lifelong member of Crescent Valley Gospel Centre. She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Nadeau of Saint John and Betty Buchanan of Vancouver, BC; three sisters, Esther Buchanan, Dorothy MacDougall and Evelyn McKinnon; two half-brothers, Harry Boulter and Percy Boulter; two half-sisters, Gladys Bernard and Marion Boulter; four grandchildren, Tammy Nadeau, Blaine Denton, Donald Nadeau and Kayden Buchanan; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Sydney Buchanan; half-brother, Wesley Boulter; and sister, Inez Gibbs. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
