CHETLEY, ELDON - Saint John : Eldon Chetley, 85, died Wednesday March 23 2005 at Ridgewood Veterans Wing in Saint John and formerly of Rough Water Dr. Bathurst. Born in Saint John son of late John and Edith (Miller) Chetley and foster son of late Mr. and Mrs. David Miller of Saint John. He was a veteran of the Second World War and served overseas. He worked at the Bathurst Power & Paper Mill and Brunswick Mining as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. His wife the former Aura Jay (Susie) Clouston died in 1993. He is survived by three daughters: Scarlett Cormier (Eric), Catherine Caissie (Ed) both of Bathurst and Sheila Garrett (Greg) of Calgary, Alberta. A son-in-law: Allan Chiasson of Bathurst. Three grandchildren: Shawn Cormier, Michelle Cormier and Justin Chiasson. A special friend Gladys Titus of Kingston Peninsula. He was predeceased by one daughter Stella Chiasson. He was the last surviving member of his family. A memorial service will take place from St Georges Anglican Church King Ave., Bathurst on Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock.
