LAPOINTE, DORIS (BOUDREAU) 1911-2005 - Bathurst, Doris LaPointe of Villa Chaleur passed away April 4th, 2005 at Regional Hospital Center Bathurst at the age of 93. She was the wife of (late) Howard LaPointe and the daughter of (late) Laurent Boudreau and (late) Justine Roy. She is survived by two sons: Patrick (Lydia Brown) LaPointe of Fredericton and Raymond LaPointe of Montreal, two granddaughters: Janine (Marcel) Tremblay of Whitby, Ont. and Diane (Adrian) Spencer of Grand Bay, N.B., one great grandson: Noah Tremblay, one sister-in-law: Margaret Boudreau of New York, U.S.A., several nephews, nieces and many friends. She was predeceased by five brothers: Médore, Henri, Mathias, Napoléon (Joe) and Hector. Mrs. LaPointe was a member of La Societé des Enseignants Retraités Francophone du Nouveau-Brunswick (S.E.R.F.) and graduated from Normal School in Fredericton in 1929. She taught in several Northern New Brunswick Schools. She was a member of the Catholic Womens League and volunteered her time to the C.N.I.B. The body is resting at Verret's Funeral Chapel, Nigadoo. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Polycarpe Church Petit-Rocher Thursday April 7, 2005 at 11 am. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.
