Daniel Mawdsley The death of Daniel Mawdsley, age 89, of River Hebert, NS, occurred peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Healther Care Center on Tuesday, December 16, 2008. Born in River Hebert, he was a son of the late Thomas and Beatrice (Hindle) Mawdsley.Daniel was a farmer and he worked in the mines. He loved to watch the horse races, and has always been a member of the King Edward Masonic Lodge #86, and a member of the River Hebert Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by a daughter Colleen D. Mawdsley, Tatamagouche, a sister Edith Symes, River Hebert, NS, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Laura, a daughter Christina; brothers, Cyril and Ralph; sister, Eliza Phinney, and several step sisters and brothers. Arrangments are in the care of Furlong~Jones Fuenral Home. Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held at a later date in the River Hebert Lata Cemetery. www.furlongjones.ca
