RAYNES, GLENDON E. - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday April 24, 2005, Glendon Ernest Raynes, husband of E. Jessie (Whitford) Raynes passed away. Born in Fairville, NB, he was the son of the late John Edgar & Annie (Crane) Raynes. A Veteran of World War II Glendon served in the 429 Squadron Bomber Command R.C.A.F. from 1940-1945 as an Aero Engine Mechanic. After the war he worked many years with Lawtons Plumbing & Heating. Surviving in addition to his wife Jessie are several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. By Glendon's request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private graveside committal will be held at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
