LAMBERT, SARAH BLAKE - 91, of North Head, Grand Manan, passed away at home after a lengthy illness. She was born at Eastport, Maine, and was the daughter of the late Ebenizer and Grace Gaskill of North Head, N.B. She was a member of The Church of The Ascension, the Ladies Guild, the Church Sunday School, and the Church Choir, and also a member of the Eastern Star Grand Manan Chapter of Mananook Lodge # 32. F & AM. She is survived by two daughters Mary (Ronald) Jones, North Head, Linda Lambert, of Digby, N.S.; one son Dixon (Linda) Lambert of Trenton, Ont.; also eight grandchildren; as well as eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Eldon Lambert; two sons, Charles and Roland; one sister Beatrice; two brothers, Charles and George. The family will receive friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home on Friday, 7-9 PM. The funeral will be held on Saturday at 1:30 PM from the Church of The Ascension, with interment to follow in the North Head Community Cemetery. The family has requested donations to the Church of The Ascension Memorial Fund.
