JOHNSTON, GAVIN (GUY) - Gavin (Guy) Johnston, born at Westville, NS, December 13, 1909, died at his Grand Falls, NB, home, after a brief illness, of heart failure, April 30, 2005. He was husband to Elsie Pugsley Johnston who predeceased him, and is survived by sons, James of Vancouver and Frank of Madison, WI as well as two grandchildren. He was a resident of Grand Falls from 1949 and manager of the Royal Bank for some thirty years. An active member of the community, Rotarian, he was a dedicated mason, a member of both the Colebrooke Lodge # 39 and the Luxor Shrine, and in character, a scottish Presbyterian, he will be sorely missed. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. A masonic service will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. His funeral will be held Thursday, May 5th at 2 p.m. from St. Andrew's United Church, Grand Falls, with Rev. Ellen Flemming officiating. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery.
