TALBOT, ARNOLD - The death of Arnold Talbot of Belledune, Husband of Dorina (Landry), occurred Thursday, May 5th at Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst at the age of 80. Born in Belledune, the son of the late Joseph Talbot and Margaret (Elsliger). Arnold was a veteran of the Second World War and was a member of the Royal Canadian legion, Durham Branch #77. He was employed at the Goosebay Labrador air base until 1951, then joined the firm of S. McNally & Sons,Contractors in Hamilton, Ont until his retirement in1975. After his retirement he settled in his native Belledune where he built and operated the Belle-Dune Motor Inn until it was sold in 1989. Besides his wife of fifty-two years, he is survived by two brothers; Ralph(Bernice) of Hamilton, Ont and Sanford of Belledune. His funeral will be held Saturday, May 7st from St. John the Evangelist Church, Belledune, at 11am.
