DEE, WALTER SR. - At Hotel Dieu of Saint Joseph Hospital, Perth-Andover, May 11, 2005, Mr. Walter Dee Sr. of Morrell Siding passed away at the age of 83 years. He was the husband of the late Wilhelmina Josephina Bakker by first marriage and of the late Eileen "Arlene" Durwood by second marriage. Born at Argosy, N.B., in 1922, he was a son of the late Roy Nicholas Dee and the late Sadie Adelaide Moran. Mr. Dee was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by one son, Walter Dee Jr. (Alice) of Morrell Siding, one daughter, Wilhelmina McNally (Leo) of Moncton, grandchildren, Anthony, Ashley, Shelley, Sheila and Sarah, great grandchildren, Ian, Jackson and Jillian Dixon and Alex Sirois, step children, Wayne Barker, June Tucker, Bruce Barker and Danny Barker, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, all of Ontario, brothers and sisters, Burton Dee, Mary Pelkey and Audrey Hammond of Perth-Andover, Violet Steeves of Plaster Rock, Betty Caldwell of Massachusetts, Donna Cyr of Lee, Maine, Alvin Dee of Limestone Siding and Lois White of Virginia, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by grandson, Kerry Dixon, brothers, Herman Dee and Nicholas Dee, sisters, Amy Watson and Pauline Kinney. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. His funeral will be held Saturday, May 14th at 11 a.m. from Calvary Tabernacle, Perth-Andover, with Rev. H.M. Lewis officiating, assisted by Rev. Alvin Dee. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
