TOMPKINS, EDGAR - Edgar Tompkins, husband of the late Dorothy Tompkins, died on February 17, 2005 at Coventry, Rhode Island. Edgar was one of thirteen children born to Manzer and Sarah Tompkins, and was a long-time resident of Woodstock before moving to Rhode Island. Edgar is survived by two daughters, Katherine Perry of Arizona, and Susan Ruggieri of Rhode Island; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Wanda, and two sons, Paul and Steven. A celebration of Edgar's life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 11:00 AM from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel, 815 Main Street, Woodstock. Mr. James Walton will officiate, with interment to follow in the Upper Woodstock Cemetery.
