BURKE, HELEN A. (SHANNON) - The death of Helen Burke of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Albenie Burke, occurred on, May 19, 2005 at St. John & St. Stephen Home. Born in Saint John, NB she was a daughter of the late, Charles and Ethel (Walton) Shannon. Helen was a homemaker and loving mother, and grandmother. Helen will be sadly missed by two sons, Donald (Bonnie) Burke of Fredericton, NB and Terry (Thelma) Burke of Saint John, NB; four daughters, Barbara MacKenzie, Peggy (Jack) Fowler, Colleen McQuade all of Saint John, NB and Debbie (Tim) Burns of Winnipeg, MB; one sister, Mary Breen of Saint John, NB; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Besides her husband and mother she was predeceased by one son, Vincent Burke, and one daughter, Patricia Dixon. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 23rd, 2005 at 11 am from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. After cremation, interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
