GORHAM, ALEXANDER BERT - Peacefully after a brief illness on Wednesday, May 4th, 2005 in St. Catharines, Ontario in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Sybil Gorham (1992) for 57 years. Loving father of Ann (Alvin) Skiles of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; Carl (Donna) of Cobble Hill, B.C., formerly of Saint John, N.B.; Alexander "Sandy" (Silvia) of Turin, Italy. Loving grandfather "Pop" to Stephen, Douglas, Geoffrey, Andrew, Dan, Ben, Maya, and Pablo and 10 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Ethel McIntyre of Saint John, N.B. Bert was born in Campbellton, N.B. and graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1933. He retired in 1975 after more than 30 years of service with Ontario Paper Co. in Thorold, Ont. During his retirement Bert enjoyed traveling in Canada, U.S. and Europe. He returned frequently to New Brunswick to visit family and friends. Funeral services were held at the Karl A. Hammond Funeral Home and Chapel in Thorold. His six grandsons Stephen, Douglas, Geoffrey, Andrew, Dan and Ben acted as pallbearers. Interment was at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens in Thorold.
