Passed peacefully away with immense courage, strength and dignity at St. Clare's on July 15, 2008, Stanislaus Joseph Carroll, age 74 years. Predeceased by his wife and soul mate, Alice, who passed away on July 5, 2008; parents, John and Kitty; daughter Julia and son Stannie; sisters: Beth Cull, Anne Gaudet and Margie Lacoste; and brother John. Left with beautiful memories of his bravery and love of life, son Jim (Karen); daughters: Alison and Valerie; cherished grandchildren: Matthew (Samantha), Lauren (Ian), Jeremy and Jordan; brothers: Dick (Florence), Bill (Rita); brother-in-law Dan Murphy and sisters-in-law: Helen Pitts and Tish (Bill Neville). There is also a large circle of family and friends with whom he celebrated the joy of life, they were precious to him. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Thursday, July 17th, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6:30 to 9 p.m. and Friday, July 18th, 10 a.m. to 12 noon, 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul's, Saturday, July 19th at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. Inurnment Sunday, July 20th at 11 a.m., St. Michael's Cemetery, Bell Island.
