JOGGINS – Elsye Anjus McKillop Reese (Coleman) of London, Ont., and formerly of Joggins passed away peacefully on her birthday with her children by her side in Parkwood Hospital, Ont., on Monday, Nov. 12, 2007. She was born in Joggins, graduated from Dalhousie University and travelled in Europe before spending the last 57 years in southeastern Ontario. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Duncan (Carolyn) McKillop, Summerside, P.E.I.; Jane (Frank) Coffey, Kingston, Ont.; Charlotte Arbuckle, Calgary; Martha (Michael) Khan, Bangor, North Wales; and Anne (Peter) McKillop-Ostrom of Ottawa. Grandma will be sadly missed by Julia, Ian, Graeme and Jane McKillop; Edward, Anne, Thomas and Margaret Coffey; Natasha and Alyssa Arbuckle; Michaela and Madison Khan; Blair and Nicola Ostrom. She was predeceased by her parents, William Harmon Coleman and Mary Jane (Trask) Coleman, as well as her sister, Mary Susan (Coleman) Bloxham; Mary’s husband Bill passed away earlier this year; and sister-in-law Mary (McKillop) Robertson. She is fondly remembered by her brother David (Millicent) Coleman of Amherst; sister-in-law Nancy McKillop of Toronto; brother-in-law Angus Robertson of Toronto; as well as by nieces, nephews and many close friends from coast to coast. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service to celebrate Elyse’s life which will be held at the Joggins United Church on July 31 at 2 p.m.
