LINCOLN CHARLES GATES
GATES, LINCOLN CHARLES - On Tuesday, July 12, 2005, Lincoln C. Gates, husband of Irene (Davidson) Gates, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John West, he was the son of the late Charles and Lucinda (Ewing) Gates. Lincoln was employed with SMT for over forty years, retiring from Universal Sales in Moncton. He was a Veteran of WWII, serving in the Air Force as a Sargeant in the Mechanics Division. Lincoln was also a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Rothesay. In addition to his loving wife of 65 years, Irene, Lincoln is survived by his children Peggyann Huggard, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, Jane Hunt, Quispamsis, NB, David Gates, Rothesay, NB, brother Octavius Gates, Martinon, NB, sister Connie Currie, Thunder Bay, ON, grandchildren Kimberly Muise, Sandra Murphy, Patti Carrier, Cindy Cross, and Michael Hunt, great grandchildren Joshua, Ashley, Nicholas, Ryan, Merina, Zachary, Brooke, Nicole, Katie and Kenny. Lincoln was predeceased by brothers Leonard and Ralph. Under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, "King's Chapel", 154 Hampton Road, Rothesay, NB, (849-1702) the funeral service will be held Thursday, July 14, 2005 at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Family and friends may visit from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Wednesday. Donations in Lincoln's memory made to the charity of donors choice would be appreciated by the family. www.castlefh.com
