NIXON, HAZEL MARIE - The death of Mrs. Hazel Marie Nixon wife of the late Harold James Nixon, of the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home occurred peacefully on July 16, 2005 at her residence. Born 1919 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late John E. and Mary (Bedford) Wood. Hazel was a former member of YWCA and the St. Mary St. Bartholomew Church Choir. She was a lab Assistant for the General Hospital. Hazel was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by sisters Marion Wood, Bessie Wood, Dorothy Dunham and Hattie Trainor; brothers Edward and Frederick Wood. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) with visitations on Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday July 20, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Intermet will follow in Fernhill Cemetery.
