DONALD GARFIELD "COOKIE" COOK
COOK, DONALD GARFIELD "COOKIE" - After a brief illness, on July 20, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital in his 78th year. Born in Saint John West, he was the son of the Late William and Mary (Clarke) Cook. He was employed with the C.P.R. where he worked part of his life in Montreal, Quebec City, and Saint John from where he retired. Don attended local schools and was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching the ball games on TV. He was very active in the Masonic Order and belonged to the Carleton Union Lodge #8 F&AAM. Don was a member of the Union Chapter Royal Arch Masons, Past First Principal Union Chapter, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, Order of Scotland, Past Junior Grand Warden of the Grand Lodge of N.B., McLeod Moore Conclave, Past Provincial Grand Pior, High Priesthood, Past Provincial Inspector General Council, Saint John Council #1, Luxor Shrine, Oriental Band, Honorary First Grand Principal R.A.M of NB, York Cross of Honor, Red Cross of Constaine, Royal Ark Maniers, and a Knight of York Rite College. Don was a very friendly and kind person and will be sadly missed by all of his friends. Resting at the Castle Funeral Home, Fallsview Chapel, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John (634-1701) on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Masonic Service Sunday evening at 7 o'clock at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held in Fallsview Chapel on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 10 o'clock. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. In memory of Don, donations may be made to the Saint John Shriner's Club Transportation Fund or to a charity of your choice.
