VIVIAN P. BURLEY
BURLEY, VIVIAN P. - Suddenly, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Friday, July 22, 2005. Born in Saint John West on December 25, 1918, she was the daughter of the Late George and Edith (Garnett) Burley. Vivian was a graduate of Saint John High School Class of 1939 and Modern Business College. She spent 32 years in Montreal working in the insurance business. In Montreal she also served the Lord teaching Sunday School at Temple Baptist Church as well as teaching English to new Canadians. Vivian returned home to Saint John in 1984 and was a member of Lancaster Baptist Church and a Chartered Member of the Edith Allaby Women's Society. She is survived by her niece Carolyn McCollum (Brian) and family of Nerepsis, nephew David Clark (Marilyn) and family of Harding's Point. Vivian is also survived by her niece Ruth Lawrence (John) and family, nephew George Burley (Linda) and family all of Ontario, ten great-nephews, one great-niece, three great great nephews, and two great great nieces. Besides her parents, Vivian is predeceased by one brother William Burley, her sister Audrey Clark, and nephew Paul Burley of Toronto. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, Fallsview Chapel, 309 Lancaster Avenue, West Saint John (634-1701) on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Fallsview Chapel on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 11 o'clock. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. In memory of Vivian, donations may be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan, New Brunswick Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of donor's choice.
