TRURO – Ernest E. Adams, 88, of Truro and formerly of Amherst, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care Home, Truro. Born in Springhill Junction, he was a son of the late Tobias and Ruean (Teed) Adams. He was a veteran of the Second World War. Over the years, Ernie worked for Metropolitan Life, Wilson Fuels and Cameron Equipment. Ernie was active in hockey over the years and was a referee in the former Maritime Senior Hockey League. He also had a great love for music and it was such an enjoyable part of his life. He is survived by daughter Jeanette (Wayne) Hennigar, Riverview, N.B.; son Michael, Spain; grandchildren Scott (Tracy) Hennigar, Fredericton; Casey (Cindy) Adams and Monique Casey, both of Dartmouth; great-grandchild, Kristin. He was predeceased by sister Doris Nelson. A private funeral service for the family will be held Sunday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m., followed by a public reception at 3 p.m., all in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home, 5075 Main Street, Oxford (447-2930), with K.
