STEEVES, NORMAN O. - The death of Norman O. Steeves of Winnipeg, MB, occurred July 23, 2005 in Winnipeg. He was born in Saint John, son of the late Helen (Robinson) (Steeves) Wetmore and Cecil Steeves. He grew up in Perry's Point, NB, moving to Winnipeg 58 years ago where he was a self employed carpenter. He was a navy veteran of WWII. Norman is survived by Joan and her daughter Holly; two daughters, Treva Stewart (Marcel) of Kingston, Susan Faulkenberg (Gordon) of Winnipeg; three sons, James, Jackson and Father Owen Steeves, all of Winnipeg; one sister, Florence Pleadwell (Fred) of Rothesay; two half sisters, Joyce Smith and Glendine White of Hillsborough; 15 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter Marilyn and one son William. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home, (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, on Friday, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral will be held Saturday, 2:00pm, at St. Andrew's Kirk United Church, Hammond River, with Rev. Mary Wanamaker officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
