Frank William Mitchell Frank William Mitchell, age 60, of Amherst passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan with his loving family by his side. Born in Parrsboro, NS, he was a son of the late Raymond and Vilda (Forbes) Mitchell. Frank worked on the Dickinson Brother's Farm in Southampton for many years as well as other farms and the coal mines. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his partner, Debbie Hicks; sons, Frankie (Starr) of Southampton and Joey (Caitlin Haley) of River Hebert; daughter, Krissie Hurley (Wes Reynolds) of Oxford; step-son, Craig (Tammy) of Amherst; step-daughter, Tanya Hicks (John) of River Hebert; grandson, Luke; granddaughter, Trinity; eight step-grandchildren, Nicole, Gregory, Hayden, Tamara, Austin, Brandon, Grace and Destiny; as well as brothers, Gerry (Barbara) of Oshawa ON, Lewis of Amherst and Neil (Darlene) of Joggins; two sisters, Patsy (Hermie) Landry of Amherst and Libby Henwood (Allison) of River Hebert; many nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his two brothers, Hughie and Aubrey. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the Maccan Cemetery.
