SHARPE, GEORGE RAY - The death of Mr. George Ray Sharpe, loving husband of Diane (Lyttle) occurred on Tuesday September 6, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1940 in Lower Millstream he was the son of the late Roy and Eliza (Steen) Sharpe. George was a resident of Anthony's Cove for over 40 years. He was employed with Ocean Steel and Construction for 39 years. Poppy enjoyed taking his grandchildren for rides in the "buggy", lending a hand to anyone in need and enjoyed hunting. Besides his loving wife Diane, he is survived by his children Roy (Deanna), George (Beth-Ann), Casey (Cara-Lee), Chris (Stephanie), Dawn (Phillip) Daigle and Katherine (Dale) Jones; Barb Oakes (Daughter-in-law); "Poppy" to 13 grandchildren; brothers Grover (Myrna), Gordon (Norma), Larry (Alegra) and Lloyd (Brenda); sisters Evelyn Fanjoy, Elva McLean (Tal), Elsie Bowland (Donny) and Eva Stewart (Bill); best friend Donny (Nora) Perry; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister Edith Wright.
