THOMPSON, GEORGE MOODY - 1911 - 2005 The passing of george Moody Thompson of Bass River, N.B. occurred on Sunday September 18th at the Moncton City Hospital in his 94th year. Moody was born in Bass River on November 23, 1911 and lived all his life on the family farm in Bass River. his love for farming was his main occupation however he did work for Dept. of Highways and did some logginig in his younger days. Moody is survived by: six sons Kelsey (Diane), Whitby, Ont. Harley (Mona), Earl (Evelyn), Wesley (Linda), all of Bass River, N.B. Glen (Julie), Quispamsis, N.B. Eric (Sandra) Moncton, N.B. four daughters Glenda McKinley (Bob), Oshawa, Ont. Alice Connors (William Burgess) Margaret, all of Bass River, N.B. Shirley Cail, Riverview, N.B. (Jonathan) Bass River, N.B. and two daughters-in-law Elizabeth, Quispamsis, N.B. and Eva of Bass River, N.B. One brother-in-law Alex Roberts Rexton, N.B. 28 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years Mary (Roberts), one daughter Georgie and two sons Chester and Alexander, one grandson Edward. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto visiting hours Tuesday September 20, 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Browns Yard at 2:00 p.m. On September 21 following service interment in Browns Yard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Browns Yard Cemetery fund or charity of donors choice would be appreciated.
