MONAHAN, GRACE MAUD - Mrs. Grace Maud Monahan of Sussex, passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on October 1, 2005, at the age of 84. Born in Cedar Camp on December 9, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Timothy and Maud (Gordon) Carten. She is survived by her beloved husband William, her stepson, Murray and his wife Anita of Sussex, her brother Irvine Carten and his wife Ivy of Urney, two sisters; Elizabeth Connelly of England, Isabel Pothier and her husband Ulysse of Saint John, her sister-in-law, Sylvia Carten of Sussex, three step-grandchildren; two step- great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Grace was predeceased by three sisters; Bertha, Mary and Annie, four brothers; Warren, Michael, Russell and Joseph and by her sister-in-law, Jean. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). Visitation will be held from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier on Tuesday, October 4th at 2:00pm, followed by the interment at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Norton.
