BETTY MARGUERITE LORD
LORD, BETTY MARGUERITE - At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on October 11, 2005, Mrs. Betty Marguerite (Keating) Lord, 80, wife of the late George Ford Franklin Lord, of Northern Harbour, Deer Island, NB. Born in St. Stephen on April 30, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Mabel (Camick) Keating. A loving mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by one daughter, Joyce (David) Wilcox of Alberta; four sons, David (Leah) Lord of Deer Island, Gary Lord of St. Stephen, Roger Lord of Deer Island and Richard (Germaine) Lord of Deer Island; 10 grandchildren, John Lord, Crystal Lord, Heather Lord, Brenda Henry, Julie Lord, Hannah Lord, Breanna Wilcox, Natasha Wilcox, Allison & Kevin Lord; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Hill (Charlie) of Saint John and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by one brother, Carl Keating and one sister, Norma Philips. Betty had been employed as a sardine packer with Connors Bros. Ltd. in Fairhaven for 50 years until her retirement. She was a great lover of the water and was a member of the Fairhaven Baptist Church. Resting at the Fairhaven Baptist Church from where the service will be held on Friday at 2 pm, followed by interment in the Fairhaven Community Cemetery at Calder's Head. Visiting at the church on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In her memory, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor's choice, would be appreciated by the family.
