PORTER, KATHRYN L. - The death of Kathryn Louise Porter of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, October 10th, 2005. Born in Andover, NB she was a daughter of the late Dr. Aden and Mildred (Wallace) MacIntosh. Kathryn graduated from Acadia University in 1940 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics and served as a dietician with The Victoria General Hospital in Toronto and the VPH and Chalmers hospitals in Fredericton. Kathryn was active in the life of Fredericton's St. Paul's United and Brunswick Street Baptist churches. She is survived by her three sons Robin (Janice) of Wolfville, NS, Dr. Peter (Dianne) of Charlottetown, PEI, Christopher (Alice) of Sackville, NB; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Graeme MacIntosh (Glenna) of Perth Andover, NB and sisters, Dorothy Hatfield of Hartland, NB and Sally Hawkes of Miller Lake, ON and many nieces and nephews. Kathryn was predeceased by her husband of sixty years, Robert, in 2002 and her brothers Dr. Robert and Iain MacIntosh. There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 17th, 2005 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Greg Geldart officiating. Interment will follow in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes made to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
