CORA A. FLOYD

FLOYD, CORA A. - The death of Cora A. Floyd of Sussex occurred at the Sussex Health Center on September 20, 2005. Cora was born at Apohaqui, NB in 1919. She was the daughter of the late William and Jean (Gaunce) Armstrong and the wife of the late Gordon A. Floyd. Cora was a graduate of the class of '37 of the Provincial Normal School and taught for many years. Cora is survived by her children; Caroline Mallory (Ron) of Sussex, Bruce (Beverly) Floyd of Erb Settlement, Earl (Betty) Floyd of Apohaqui, Bill (Carolyn) Floyd of Saint John and Linda Sadler (Jack) of Sussex, eleven grandchildren; Michael and, Jamie (Katrina) Floyd, Kimberly Titus (Reverend David), Bryant and Melissa Floyd, Alison and Andrew Floyd, Robyn, JAI, Samantha and Anna Louise Sadler, three great grandchildren; Peter, Simon and Aaron Titus; and sister Pauline (Leslie) Cosman of Sussex. Cora was predeceased by her son Malcolm, grandson Kevin Marr and brother Roy Armstrong. The family received visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex, (506-433-2133). The funeral service was held at Trinity Anglican Church on Friday September 23, 2005 at 11AM with Reverend David Barrett officiating and Reverend Ellen Curtis assisting. The organist was Mary Chambers who led the Trinity Church Choir in the singing of Abide With Me. The soloist and pianist was Ron Mallory who sang, He Touched Me and How Great Thou Art. A reading from 1 Corinthians was done by Reverend David Titus. Interment was at Riverbank Cemetery, Riverbank, NB. The pallbearers were Richard Armstrong, Arnold Floyd, Gil Carter, Ron Steeves, Ralph Baird and Alfred Attoe. www.sussexfh.com
