May 6, 1919 – July 16, 2008 Active member of Masonic Lodge, Heart's Content and Mazol Shriners, vice president of Tricon Retired Teachers Association, Church Layreader for 64 years, past Town Councillor and Mayor of Heart's Delight – Islington, Member of SUF # 6, Secretary of Island Harbour 50 plus club and honourary member of Fire Department. Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, Eldred Warren of Heart's Delight, aged 89 years. Predeceased by son Eldred Warren Jr.; parents, Lewis and Elsie; brothers: Charles, Maxwell and Jamie. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife, Ruby; daughters: Valerie Hefford (Albert), Marilyn Bryant (Charles), Pauline Welsh (Glen), Renee Jackson (Paul); son David (Dianne) and daughter-in-law Sandra; brother Gerald (Jean); brothers-in-law: Ray (Joan), Mark (Mildred); sisters-in-law: Mary Mouland (Ed), Myra Desrosiers (Roger), Lillian (Ron). Also lovingly remembered by 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at St. Matthew's Church Hall, Heart's Delight — Islington Friday, July 18th 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Heart's Delight on Saturday, July 19th at 2 p.m. Complying with Eldred's request cremation to follow the funeral service.
