JOHN CHARLES MUNROE

MUNROE, JOHN CHARLES - Unexpectedly, at his residence on October 16, 2005, Mr. John Charles Munroe, husband of Helen Josephine (Noddin) Munroe of Beaver Harbour, NB. John was born in Guysborough, NS on January 18, 1939. A loving husband, father and brother, John is survived, besides his wife, by one daughter, Kimberley (Scott) Anderson of Bedford, NS; one son, Kevin Munroe of Moncton, NB; three brothers, Bob (Betty) Munroe of Montague, PEI, Cleveland (Edie) Munroe of Halifax, NS and Ainsley Munroe of ON; two half brothers, Paul Ehler of Queensport, Guysborough Co., NS and Graham Ehler of Antigonish, NS; one half sister, Margaret Ehler of Boston, Mass.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his faithful companion, Jake the dog. He was predeceased by one sister, Margaret Morgan. John worked as a foreman for Connors Bros. Ltd. in Beaver Harbour and Blacks Harbour for 45 years. He was an avid lover of hockey and was involved with local Minor Hockey for 15 years. He will be well remembered for his love of decorating his property for the Christmas season. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held from the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church on Thursday at 2 pm, with Rev. Bruce Cheney officiating, followed by interment in St. George Rural Cemetery. In John's memory, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor's choice, would be appreciated by the family. (www.stgeorgefh.ca)
