SOUTHWOOD, (JOSEPH) JOHN - John passed away on Sat. Oct. 15 at Toronto Western Hospital. Words cannot say how much he was loved and will be missed. Beloved husband of Pauline, wonderful father of five children, and grandfather of ten: Alison & Andrew (Jocelyn, Mark, Eric); Emma & Dan (Greg, Abby); Philippa & Trevor (Lexie, Sophie); Sarah & Rich (Justin, Rachael); John & Karen (Laine). Born in Camborne, Eng. on Dec. 8, 1939. In 1966, John met & married Pauline in Coventry, Eng. Together they immigrated to Saint John NB. John was an associate engineer with NBTel. In June 1997 he had the rare privilege of being a recipient of a heart transplant in Halifax N.S. This gift allowed John to celebrate another 8 years of life with his growing family in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON. Funeral Mass will be held at 11am Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Dunnville, Ont. John would have enjoyed it if any donations could be made to the Toronto Sick Kids Hospital.
