MacASKILL, STANLEY GERARD - On Friday, October 14, 2005 Stanley G. MacAskill went home to be with the Lord. Born in Big Pond, NS., he was the son of the late Angus and Theresa (McNeil) MacAskill, and dear friend to Sharon Middleton and to "Ma". He was a roofer by trade working in the contracting industry for a number of years. Stan's giving nature endeared him to all he met. He was generous and compassionate and always willing to lend a hand. He will be fondly remembered and very much missed by those who were closest to him. Stan is also survived by his sons Stanley Jr. of Boston and Sean of New Hampshire, and daughter Carrie of New Hampshire, brothers Leo (Lynn) MacAskill of Lynn, Mass., and Donald MacAskill of Boxborough, Mass., sisters Lois (Bruce) MacNeil of Ormond Beach, FL., Linda Malone of Revere, Mass., Leona Grace of Everett, Mass., as well as, one grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Stan was predeceased by brother Michael Charles MacAskill and younger sister Theresa Geraldine MacAskill. Those wishing to visit Stan's family and friends may do so at Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, NB., (634-1701) on Wednesday, October 19th, 2005 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Funeral Service will be held following visitation. A time of fellowship will take place immediately after the service at the Family Reception Centre. Committal will be at a later date. Donations in Stan's memory made to "Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation - Lonewater Farm" would be deeply appreciated by the family.
