SWAIN, CAROL - The death of Carol J. (Muir) Swain, loving wife of John Swain for 53 years, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 3, 2005. Born 1932 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late David and Isabel (Rackley) Muir. Carol was a member of the Arthritic Association, Simonds Senior Group and was a volunteer at the Loch Lomond Villa for many years. She was an active member of the First Wesleyan Church on Boars Head Road for 20 years. Carol enjoyed spending time at her camper trailer in Long Reach for many years. She was an avid bowler in her early years and loved her cats. Besides her loving husband she is survived by her sons Brian (Yvette Arsenault) of Saint John, John (Gloria) of Winnipeg, Keith and Kevin both of Saint John; daughters Sandra Hedrick (Ron) of Mission, BC and Heather Gogan (Bob) of Saint John; brother Francis Muir (Shirley) of West Saint John; sister Shirley Williams (Donald) of Saint John; four grandchildren Jessica, Bradley, Justin and Randall; one aunt Rita Blizzard and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents she was predeceased by brother Gerald Muir and sister Peggy Devlin. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
